Utility pole repairs close Route 356 in Allegheny Township
Route 356 in Allegheny Township is closed as crews work to repair a utility pole that was cracked by a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning, according to Westmoreland County 911.
The truck was attempting to turn when it got stuck in mud shortly after 4 a.m. As the driver tried to get back on the road, the truck collided with the utility pole, dispatchers said.
There were no injuries.
West Penn Power told dispatchers Route 356 between Route 56 and the Freeport Bridge will remain closed until at least 8 a.m. Tuesday.
