Icy conditions may have led to an accident along Lincoln Road in Penn Hills that left a woman hospitalized.
Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Department Station 227 Chief Bill Jeffcoat said water runoff from a hillside froze a portion of the roadway Tuesday shortly before the crash around 8:45 p.m.
A woman driving an SUV with two passengers lost control of her vehicle along the 1800 block of Lincoln Road and the vehicle ended up on its driver side.
Jeffcoat said the driver was treated by Penn Hills EMS and transported to a local hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. The passengers did not require hospitalization, said Jeffcoat.
