Ex-Steelers safety Will Allen’s ‘#20 for 20’ party to raise money for needy kids
Supporters of a foundation formed by Pittsburgh Steelers player Will Allen are hosting a fundraiser on Monday, Dec. 11 to help kids involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania buy holiday gifts for their families.
“Will wore No. 20 on the field and is striving to raise $20,000 to help take 60 plus kids from the Boys and Girls Club shopping for their families and loved ones,” said Matt Plazek, who is helping the former Steelers safety organize the event.
Allen played for Ohio State University, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Dallas Cowboys and two stints with the Steelers. He created the charitable foundation in 2008.
The party will include raffles for handmade artisan prizes, a 50/50 raffle, drink tickets and more.
The event will take place at Rum Runners Saloon, 3385 Babcock Boulevard in Ross.
