Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Washington County for Saturday’s drawing is $1 million richer.
A ticket sold at the Finleyville Giant Eagle matched all five white balls, 09-19-33-38-54, but not the red Powerball 15, to earn the second-tier prize, less 25 percent federal withholding.
The store receives a $5,000 bonus.
The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize.
The Pennsylvania Lottery said more than 49,400 winning tickets were sold statewide for the drawing
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth $40 million.
