Information from the World Wide Web changes all the time. An array of new sites offer wonderful recipes, cookbooks and restaurant reviews, along with seasonal cooking tips. There are also great sources for ingredients and obscure items online. These are a bit more obscure, but worth exploring.

chef2chef.net : This site is for chefs, but it contains comprehensive resources for everything from cooking jobs to the best suppliers of vanilla and pretty much everything in between.

earthy.com : Those craving fresh chanterelles or passionate for paw paws will want to visit this site, which can help you procure ingredients. Many chefs buy products here. Whether you seek blond morels or a great choke berry preserve, this is the place.

foodreference.com : Sometimes I find myself needing a well-known food quote or, on occasion, wonder how something like green goddess dressing got its name. This is where to go if you have the same curiosity. You can even find out when National Sponge Cake Day is celebrated.

foodgeeks.com : Great recipes, a food community and a food encyclopedia are just a few of the things you can find on this site.

culinarycafe.com : A collection of simple recipes, cooking tips and food chats. This is a place where you can connect with others and discuss recipes or find a recipe for dinner. This site offers a separate vegetarian section.

ethnicgrocer.com : Anything you need for your home kitchen can be ordered here. You can find recipes from any country and then purchase the ingredients on the site. If you are into global cooking, this is your one-stop site.

recipesource.com : One of the most comprehensive food and recipe resources anywhere on the Web. They have recipes from countries I never heard of — until the Olympics.

indexoftheweb.com : This site maintains an extensive list of all the food sites on the Web.

ivu.org : The International Vegetarian Union offers great international veggie recipes, a message board and, yes, even a veggie dating site.

orientalfood.com : I love Asian food of all kinds, and find a ton of great recipes here. All Asian countries are represented on this no-nonsense recipe archive site. You can search Asian countries by region or menu category.
