2 Homestead teens charged in shooting death of teen

Two teens from Homestead were charged Tuesday with the fatal shooting of another teenager in December.

Terrill Hicks, 16, and Raymont Walker, 15, are charged with criminal homicide and related crimes for the Dec. 23 slaying of Kevin Harrison, 16, who was shot to death on the front steps of his home on West 13th Avenue in Homestead, Allegheny County Police said.

County police Lt. Christopher Kearns said detectives believe Harrison was shot as the result of an ongoing feud with Hicks and Walker.

Witnesses said Harrison was smoking a cigarette with a friend when several shots were fired from across the street. Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene of a gunshot wound to the head.

Hicks was arrested Monday afternoon in Homestead, a short time after someone opened fire on two men in the 300 block of West Oak Way.

Kearns said nobody was hurt in that shooting.

Walker was arrested yesterday afternoon after showing up with his father at county police headquarters in North Point Breeze and surrendering to detectives, Kearns said.

Hicks, Walker and a third man, Deondray Beasley, 19, of Homestead, are charged with aggravated assault for Monday's shooting.

Kearns said Beasley has not been charged with the slaying of Harrison.

Detectives have not said if Monday's shooting is related to the death of Harrison.
