24/7 crisis support offered to people, organizations affected by Wilkinsburg mass shooting
Allegheny County's Department of Human Services has joined with local support and service providers to offer 24-hour crisis support to people in Wilkinsburg in the wake of Wednesday's mass shooting.
The county Office of Behavioral Health is working with the Wilkinsburg School District to offer assistance to students.
The department has contacte faith-based organizations, family support centers and community centers to offer assistance. The Center for Victims is taking the lead of the immediate crisis response, coordinating with the re:solve Crisis Network. The center's response team can provide crisis counseling, emotional support and safety planning to individuals and groups affected by the shooting.
