A Donora man is accused of setting a roll of toilet paper on fire at a borough home early Wednesday.

Peri Youngblood II, 21, of 999 Thompson Ave., was arrested after Donora police were called to 349 Market St. 1:32 a.m. for a group of people fighting.

Youngbloodand Alexis Fleming and Laura Fronzaglio, both of Donora, are accused of damaging doors and walls at the residence.

When Officer Michael Buynar arrived at Erik Semko and Scott Filipiak's residence, he was told a group of people had just fled on foot.

Filipiak told police he had given Youngblood a lighter for his cigarette earlier that night. Moments after Youngblood returned the lighter, Filipiak told police he smelled smoke coming from the bathroom area, according to the criminal complaint. Filipiak said he found a roll of toilet paper and a towel on fire in a cabinet below the sink. He threw the objects in the bathtub to extinguish the flames, police said.

After confronting Youngblood, Fronzaglio, Fleming, Sherrod Hayes and Nestor Merlo about the fire, Filipiak told police a fight broke out. Neither Hayes nor Merlo was charged.

Police said Filipiak locked himself in the bedroom, at which time Youngblood and Fronzaglio allegedly attempted to kick the door open, the complaint stated. Filipiak then jumped out of the bedroom window, police said.

Semko said Youngblood, Fronzaglio and Fleming allegedly became “irate” and began kicking holes in the walls, breaking mirrors, and a jewelry box. They also allegedly damaged three doors, according to the complaint.

Carroll Township police found the group on Bradford Way near Castner Avenue. They were brought to the Donora police station for questioning, the complaint states.

Youngblood is charged with arson, risking a catastrophe, and criminal mischief.

Fleming, 18, of 22 McKean Ave., and Fronzaglio, 18, of 109 Castner Ave., were both charged with criminal mischief.

They were each arraigned at Night Court by Magisterial District Judge Curtis Thompson and sent to the Washington County Correctional Facility. Thompson set Youngblood's bail at $20,000 straight cash. He faces a preliminary hearing 9:30 a.m. June 4 in Washington County Central Court.

Bond for Fleming and Fronzaglio was set at $10,000 unsecured. They each face hearings 10:30 a.m. July 3 before Magisterial District Judge Mark Wilson in Monongahela.
