4 face drug charges after Hill District traffic stop
Four people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday afternoon when Pittsburgh police conducted a traffic stop near Bentley Drive and Kirkpatrick Street in the Hill District and recovered heroin, a loaded handgun, cash, cell phones and jewelry, city police spokeswoman Diane Richard said.
The driver, Lamar Downer, 29, of Wilkinsburg, is charged with possession with intent to deliver and related drug offenses as well as reckless driving, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. His passengers -- Jacquet Scott, 28, of Point Breeze, and Maude Booker, 22, and Ian Reynolds, 21, both of the Hill District -- face drug charges, Richard said.
Officers recovered 17 bricks of heroin, a loaded handgun, seven cell phones, $7,427 in cash and about $3,000 in jewelry, Richard said.
