Coach Ange was proud of all of you.
I would like to tell everyone in my Geibel Catholic family thank you for a great dedication to a good coach, a great man and the greatest father. My family was so touched by the entire dedication of Sept. 22, 2007, and it reminded us why my dad, Angelo R. Dippolito (Coach Ange) looked at Geibel Catholic as our extended family.
Yes, he had this effect on everyone who ever walked into his life and wanted to learn from him and teach him as well. However, there will always be a special place in my heart and the heart of my family when it comes to Geibel Catholic High School. Thank you to everyone.
I would also like to thank the young men who put everything they had into the game against West Greene. You guys showed more than anyone how much Coach Ange meant to you. Trust me when I say he thought the same about all of you. Dedication, determination and discipline were the three things I heard my dad preach for the 34 years he was with me.
Not only did he instill these things in myself, my brother and my sister, but in every student-athlete he coached for 43 years. You guys showed that you learned those lessons and learned them well. You never gave up the fight and never gave up on yourselves. Coach Ange was proud of all of you, and so was my entire family.
One other thank-you goes out to the homecoming court for sharing your beautiful day with my dad. Homecoming is a time to celebrate many things for a high school, and the fact that the entire homecoming court was present for the dedication was a tribute to the whole school's admiration for Coach Ange.
