We raced at Jennerstown this past Saturday. In the hot laps, the car was loose, and the way things have been going this year, that usually makes for a long night.
But we started making some adjustments to try to tighten things up. Each time, it got a little better.
In the heat race, we started sixth and finished second, but the car was still loose, so we made some more adjustments for the feature.
We made some shock and spring changes, but we pulled 10 out of 10. We just can't pull a good pill.
So in the feature, we started 10th and ended up finishing sixth. During the feature, we had a good run on the outside when we were all bunched up. We passed two or three cars, but a guy moved up a groove in front of me, and that allowed the cars that I passed, to pass me on the inside.
We had to work hard to get back to sixth. But when you start 10th, it's tough to win in a 40-lap race, because you don't have a lot of time to make a move. But that's just my own opinion. A caution lap might have helped, but we didn't get one.
