Actor John Cleese once asked Fatboy Slim to turn down the music, an experience the famous British disc jockey reportedly counts as his most embarrassing.

The high-paid dance music DJ was on the decks at an post-Academy Awards party, but no one was dancing, because the celebrities were networking, Slim said in Britain's Mirror Friday.

"In the end John Cleese came over and asked me to turn it down. He said, 'No offense, but nobody's really dancing and if you turned it down a little, at least we could all talk,'" Slim said.

The British DJ said his most surreal experiences have occurred at Manumission nightclub in Ibiza, Spain.

"I don't think anyone actually performed any sex acts but quite a lot of boobs came out. I was DJing with about 10 go-go girls in front of me so every time I looked up all I could see was a wall of (expletives). I didn't know where to look. It was quite off-putting," Slim said.
