Let me get this straight. Mexicans and Americans are demonstrating in the streets in Arizona in protest of a law that allows police to ask for proof that people are American citizens and have not illegally entered this country -- something that our federal government should have done long ago -- while the president of Mexico, who can't control his own borders, and the president of the United States, who won't control his own borders, both call the law discriminatory.
What's wrong with this picture?
I applaud Arizona for taking the initiative to do something, since it's quite obvious that our federal government isn't about to. I'd also urge California, New Mexico and Texas to follow the same path.
God bless America.
