Aethon names Aldo Zini president, chief executive officer

Aethon Inc. named Aldo Zini president and chief executive officer. Zini, who most recently worked as vice president of sales, was the prime mover for the company's introduction of Tug, an automated mobile robot for hospitals. Zini spent 25 years in the development, marketing and sales of high-technology products for the health care industry. Before Aethon, Zini was vice president of sales and marketing for TechRx in Pittsburgh. Previously, he worked at Automated Healthcare in Pittsburgh. Banking/Finance Hefren-Tillotson promoted Kenny McGee and Andrew Patterson in the Pittsburgh office and Dick Bondi in the Upper St. Clair office, all to associate vice president. Nancy Gunter in the Upper St. Clair office was promoted to senior financial assistant and office manager. Yanni Partners Inc. named James Milano , chief financial officer of NEP Broadcasting, to the board of directors. Milano, who spent many years as a Yanni tax adviser and managing partner of Datemasch Milano & Associates, has 20 years' experience in the public accounting arena. Jay Donato joined Select Financial Group as a financial consultant. Donato was a financial associate with Union Financial Partners in San Francisco. He is a Monroeville native and John Carroll University graduate. Accounting Recently hired at Schneider Downs Assurance and Tax Advisors were: Mark Sullivan as in-charge and staff members Laura Baker, Marisa Banaszewski, Christopher Bluemle, Kevin DeJuliis, Maureen Doyle, Beth Friday, Julie Kirkton, Mike Mackey, Dean Pappaterra, Nicole Pierce, Andy Romesberg, Nick Kral and Dan Vo . Deloitte promoted to senior manager Angela N. Bruno and Gerry Orban in the solutions department; Scott Frishman, Thomas Quinlan and Tracy Tinnemeyer in the tax services department, and Louis Mancuso in the assurance services department. McCrory & McDowell hired Linda M. Nulph and Geetha Maruvada as supervisors. Nulph was an assistant controller and financial systems manager for Oberg Industries Inc. Maruvada was a supervising accountant for RC Holsinger Associates. Legal Henry M. Sneath of Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton was appointed chairman of the commercial litigation committee of the Defense Research Institute. Sneath has been active at DRI for many years, serving as chairman of its intellectual property section and program chairman or moderator at some DRI seminars. Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott recently hired Tracey D. Beiriger, Gary P. Topolosky, Matthew W. Smith and David P. Maivald as intellectual property attorneys after Alcoa awarded the law firm a three-year contract to handle intellectual property law work. Beiriger, who will serve as assistant manager of the Alcoa IP law division, Topolosky and Smith all joined Eckert Seamans as members. Maivald joined the firm as an associate. Eckert Seamans attorney Dan Abeles will manage the office. Advertising/PR David Marrangoni joined Desbrow & Associates Inc. as director of business development. Before Desbrow, Marrangoni worked for Crown Castle International as vice president of regional sales. He also worked in business development for Marc USA and the St. George Group. Technology Severn Trent Laboratories Pittsburgh named Kathryn L. Stoudnour a project manager. Stoudnour was senior project manager at Pace Analytical Services Inc. She has 21 years' experience in the environmental testing field. Nonprofits The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh promoted Jessica Rothman-Church to assistant director of the Emma Kaufmann Camp. Melanie Cohen was appointed operations coordinator for the camp. Rothman-Church most recently was the camp's business manager and has worked for the JCC two years. Cohen has spent 17 years at the camp, which is next to Cheat Lake outside Morgantown, W.Va. Hill House Association hired Evan S. Frazier as executive director. Frazier most recently worked as vice president of finance communications for PNC Financial Services Group. He joined PNC in 2001 as a vice president in the strategic planning department. Before that, he was senior vice president of the Manchester Bidwell Corp. The National Communicators Network for Women Religious named as its 2004 vice chairman Jean Dennison , communications director, Sisters of Divine Providence, Marie de la Roche Province, Pittsburgh. Also named to the 2004 board is member Barbara Hecht , director of public relations, Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, Pa. Pittsburgh Voyager hired Michael A. Glass as sales and marketing manager and Jeffrey J. Jordan as education manager. Glass was coordinator of the Institute of Advanced Technology at the Community College of Allegheny County. Jordan worked with the Carnegie Science Center and most recently was coordinator of the science theaters. Other InnerLink Strategic Solutions Inc. named Tom Farrell vice president of sales. Farrell has extensive experience in sales in small to mid-size business development. Michaele F. Parees , a financial planner with Linarelli & Associates in Southpointe, was named publicity chairman for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. The Bread Bakers Guild of America named Gina Renee Piccolino of North Versailles executive director. She joined the guild in 1995 as director of activities and membership services. Piccolino is a 1989 Duquesne University graduate who has a bachelor's degree in French. The Community College of Allegheny County promoted Kevin G. Smay to executive director of strategic planning. Smay has worked at the school 17 years and served as director of planning and research since 1998.
