Alcoa Inc. appointed several new officers, naming Robert S. Hughes executive vice president, Alcoa, and group president, Alcoa Allied Products, and Joseph C. Muscari, vice president, Alcoa, and group president Asia, Latin America and environment, health and safety. Hughes has held a variety of sales, marketing, manufacturing and business unit management positions with Alcoa during his career. Muscari held a series of manufacturing, financial, business unit and corporate management positions, including president of Alcoa Asia.
In other changes, G. John Pizzey is executive vice president, Alcoa, and group president, primary products. He had been vice president, Alcoa, and group president, primary products.

Great American Federal named William J. King senior commercial loan officer in its commercial lending department. King has 18 years' experience in the financial services industry and most recently was vice president and commercial loan officer at First International Bank in Pittsburgh. Before that, King was an assistant vice president in the middle market banking department of Mellon Bank.
Mellon Financial Corp. named Gary J. Schwager vice president and portfolio manager in Mellon Private Asset Management's private equity group in Pittsburgh. He joins the group from Russell/Mellon Analytical Services, where he was a vice president and senior investment consultant.
The Fragasso Group Inc. of Pittsburgh appointed as officers: Deborah Sales, vice president of the firm and the downtown office branch manager; Diana Schroeder, corporate secretary and administrative manager; Andrei Voicu, vice president and director, portfolio manager; and Michael Fertig, vice president and South Hills office branch manager.

Morgan, Lewis & Brockius hired as associates W. Ryan Davis in the business and finance practice group; Abhijat Parikh in the intellectual property-patent practice group; and Jennifer E. Schlagle in the litigation practice group.
John E. Lyncheski was appointed chair of the labor, OSHA and human resources substantive law committee of the American Health Lawyers Association. Lyncheski chairs the firm's health care practice group and is the senior director in its labor & employment group.
