Allegheny County police charge man in fatal Homestead shooting

Allegheny County police on Thursday charged a Pittsburgh man in connection with a fatal shooting Monday in Homestead.

Carlos Harris, 21, of Arlington is charged with homicide, aggravated assault and other counts in the shooting death of Daren Scott, 25, of Munhall.

The shooting happened while Scott was driving, causing him to crash into a parked car on 12th Avenue, police said.

Harris dismantled a Glock semi-automatic pistol and hid the parts in an apartment near the crime scene, according a criminal complaint.
