A record-breaking 32.5 million "American Idol" voters have eliminated 19-year-old Jessica Sierra of Tampa, Fla., from the FOX TV competition.

"Each show is a stepping stone to what I've been trying to become -- a star," said Sierra, who's been singing since she was 3, The New York Post said Thursday.

Sierra's expression was indifferent Wednesday night as she described the entire experience as wonderful and said the people she met through the show were "great," MTV.com said.

Before Wednesday's broadcast, a poll on mcall.com showed country singer Carrie Underwood as the most popular "Idol" contestant with 38.2 percent of the votes.
