ERIE, Pa. (AP) -- A 15-month-old boy died after he was thrown from an Amish buggy when the horse got spooked.

Rudy N. Kaufmann, of Albion, was being placed in the buggy when the accident happened about 11:30 a.m. yesterday in Conneaut Township. After being thrown, he was struck by one of the buggy's wheels.

He was flown to Hamot Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
