Animal Kingdom installed as Preakness favorite

Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom has been installed as the 2-1 favorite for the 136th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course.

Trained by Graham Motion, Animal Kingdom will leave from post position No. 11 under jockey John Velazquez in the full field of 14.

Dialed In, who finished eighth in the Derby as the 5-1 favorite, is the second-choice at 9-2, according to Maryland oddsmaker Frank Carulli. Mucho Macho Man, third in the Derby, is the third-choice at 6-1. The Preakness post-time is 6:19 p.m. Saturday and will be aired on NBC.
