Apollo-Ridge football coach Jerry Moore has been suspended for the remainder of the season for what school board president Greg Primm called "a violation of personnel issues."

Moore would not elaborate on the situation Thursday night, although he confirmed assistant Dave Grimm, the former head coach at Kiski Area, will serve as head coach Saturday afternoon when the Vikings play at Riverview.

"All I can say is that I have been wronged," said Moore, who is in his ninth season and has compiled a 43-40 record, including 2-4 this season. "Everything is pending on false accusations. I am very upset and I miss the kids a lot."
