An Armstrong County woman has died of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Armstrong Township, Indiana County.

Hazel Peters, 82, of Rural Valley, died Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, according to state police at Indiana.

The victim was traveling west on Route 422 at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when she attempted to turn her Buick LeSabre left into a parking lot and drove into the path of an oncoming 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by Larry Etzel, 58, of Wellsboro, Tioga County, police said.

The front end of Etzel's vehicle struck the right front corner of Peters' car. Etzel suffered moderate injuries.

It is unknown whether either victim was wearing a seat belt.
