The Arthritis Foundation may have found a cure for the black tie blues on Saturday, getting into the bewitching hour a little early this year with its Halloween-themed Bone Bash at the Sheraton Station Square.

Costumes encouraged, not required, but from our point of view, it looked like most of the socials seemed intent on shaking the dust off their skeletons as they joined co-chairs Larry and Pam Watters and board chair Jane Brandenstein to honor Dr. Ken Melani and James Taylor for their commitment to build a stronger community.

Tarot card readers, a life-sized game of Operation (we’d love to know how many doctors in the house were able to pull a bone out without getting BUZZED) and “makeovers” from students of the Tom Savini Special Make-Up Effects Program ensured the entire house was howling at the moon.
