Bank names executive management team members

First Commonwealth Bank named these members to its executive management team: John Previte leads trust and treasury functions; Sue McMurdy leads information technology, operations and support areas; Thad Clements leads human resources, marketing, balanced scoreboard, and planning areas; Paul Briggs leads all lending activities; Renee Shepko oversees all bank branches and deposit product management; Dick DeHaas leads asset quality responsibilities; and Jim Knipple oversees all compliance responsibilities for the Bank and holding company.

  • Arthur F. Hazen Jr. was named a registered representative of Kremer & Associates Inc. in its Wexford office. Previously, he was an investment specialist and financial planner with MetLife.

    Accounting

    James Hofer , Madelyn Martin and Catherine Platt joined Urish Popeck & Company LLC. Hofer and Martin work in the Pittsburgh office's tax division. Platt is a senior tax consultant in the tax division, also in Pittsburgh. Previously, she worked for DiCillo, Gulman & Company.

  • McGuire Woods LLP named Julian E. Neiser an associate in the Pittsburgh office's commercial litigation department. He focuses on complex business disputes, construction law and insurance coverage. Previously, Neiser was an associate at Tucker Arensberg PC.

  • Parente Randolph LLC named Gary J. Walesch senior manager of the Pittsburgh office. He leads the Internal Audit Practice. Walesch has 18 years of business process controls, financial and information technology and security audit, and process consulting and risk management consulting experience.

    Advertising, public relations

  • MARC USA named Mark Silvey account supervisor and Ashlee Yingling , Lisa Vernal and Suzanne Eickhoff assistant account executives. Silvey supervises activities for Rite Aid and Moen. Previously, he worked at Elias Savion. Yingling is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Vernal, previously, was a communications coordinator for Wilmington Renaissance Corporation and Eickhoff worked for Marketing Communications.

  • Blattner Brunner named Mary Kirk director of client experience and Lynne Plakidas-Klim management supervisor. Kirk manages all internal and external initiatives used to elevate client experience and overall satisfaction. Previously, she was an account and management supervisor with the agency. Plakidas-Klim has financial service experience and has supervised the National City Allegiant Funds account for the agency.

  • Allegheny Intermediate Unit named Kathy Lust fiscal specialist and Roseanne Johnston director of technology services. Lust supervises all activities in the general ledger. She has been with AIU for six years. Johnston is responsible for the overall support of technology administration. She has been with AIU for 20 years.

    = Cynthia L. Roth joined the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Institutional Advancement as associate vice chancellor for planning, organization development and quality improvement. She serves as an internal consultant to the Institutional Advancement management staff in the planning and development of quality improvement initiatives. Previously, Roth was executive director of Family House Inc.

    Health care

    Dr. Roy C. Monsour was named director of psychiatric services at Monsour Medical Center. He is board certified in adult psychiatry and is a recertified diplomat in geriatric and addictive psychiatry. Previously, he was medical director of Monsour Medical Center Geriatric Behavioral Health Services.

  • Ned Mitrovich and Jason E. Stanton joined Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering Inc. as senior project managers. Mitrovich and Stanton serve as associates and shareholders of the corporation.

  • Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh named Kevin Hiles chief financial officer. He has been serving as acting CFO since Sept. 2004. Previously, he was director of finance and business operations for The Andy Warhol Museum and Carnegie Science Center.

  • Karen Frank joined Prudential Preferred Reality in the Route 19 South office. Previously, she owned and operated Sashay's in Mt. Lebanon.

    Edward P. "Ned" Doran was designated a fellow of the London-based Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is the executive vice president and managing broker of record for GVA Oxford. With a "fellow" designation, Doran joins an elite group of individuals that make up a fraction of one percent of the 110,000 global membership.

    Jeffery A. Deller , Klett Rooney Leiber & Shorling PC, and Michael D. McDowell , arbitrator and mediator, were members of a panel speaking on "How to Use Mediation in Bankruptcy to Achieve a Great Result" at the 10th annual Bankruptcy Institute.
