The media is not up-playing the danger in Afghanistan but seems to be grossly missing it. Unfortunately, I predict NATO and other forces will lose increasing numbers of soldiers in Afghanistan. The place is bad. Really bad. And it’s getting worse. Michael YonFrom Michael Yon: Online Magazine ( michaelyon-online.com/wp ) In radical Islamic ideology, being captured by infidels and executed does not equal martyrdom. It equals humiliation. The “72 virgins/raisins” fantasy is reserved for those who die “gloriously” in battle. … And Zacarias Moussaoui will game the system to the best of his abilities. Don’t be surprised to see him get his own Koran, halal food, a prayer rug, and an arrow pointing toward Mecca. From Little Green Footballs( littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog ) We do not wish to rely on French tenacity in the war on terror; we learned that lesson a long time ago. Let the French try to invoke whatever treaties they want to request Moussaoui’s extradition, and let them stomp their feet when we tell them to pound sand. Captain EdFrom Captain’s Quarters ( captainsquartersblog.com/mt ) It seems Wal-Mart was supposed to use 10-point type for its “While Supplies Last” disclaimer when advertising its Early Bird specials in Utah, but instead used 7-point type. So naturally Matthew Howell, an attorney with the Provo law firm of Fillmore Spencer, has filed a would-be class action lawsuit against the giant retailer, on behalf of named clients Brandon and Tonya Barker.
