It's the day after the New York Yankees' embarrassing defeat. We all need to keep things in perspective.

For words of baseball wisdom, we turn to one of the greatest Yankees ever, Yogi Berra.

"This is like deja vu all over again," Berra once said.

The Yankees made too many mental mistakes.

"Half the game is 90 percent mental," Berra said.

It wasn't the first time Yankees bats were silent.

"Slump• I ain't in no slump. I just ain't hittin," Berra said.

Maybe the Yankees weren't hungry this postseason.

"You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough to eat six," Berra said.

Maybe the Yankees weren't worth the highest payroll in baseball.

"A nickel ain't worth a dime today," Berra said.

Clearly, the Yankees face some major decisions.

"If you come to a fork in the road, take it," Berra said.

It was like a funeral in the Yankees' locker room.

"You should always go to other people's funerals; otherwise, they won't come to yours," Berra said.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.

And while we're on the subject of heated rivalries...

Burrell at Valley

Burrell has too much to play for -- an undefeated season and a high Class AA playoff seeding. Burrell 31, Valley 18.

Riverview at Springdale

Springdale didn't get a flu shot, but finds a cure for fumblitis. Springdale 19, Riverview 12.

Kittanning at Ford City

Ford City has gained momentum, but not enought to overtake Kittanning. Kittanning 14, Ford City 13.

Plum at Fox Chapel

Plum, which has allowed only 13 points in its last three games, continues to get it done on defense. Plum 18, Fox Chapel 3.

Kiski Area at Latrobe

The Cavaliers pick up some momentum heading into the playoffs. Kiski Area 24, Latrobe 0.

Knoch at Pine-Richland

Both teams win. Pine-Richland gets a share of the conference title and Knoch makes the playoffs. Pine-Richland 30, Knoch 20.

Highlands at Hampton

Hampton needs to win big to enhance its playoff possibilities. Hampton 34, Highlands 7.

Freeport at Deer Lakes

Freeport has set its hopes on a playoff berth, while Deer Lakes has been eliminated. Freeport 27, Deer Lakes 14.

Clairton at Apollo-Ridge

Apollo-Ridge comes up short after making it a close game at halftime against top-ranked Clairton. Clairton 28, Apollo-Ridge 14.

Leechburg at Wilkinsburg

Leechburg has too much pride and tradition to end the season without a win. Leechburg 8, Wilkinsburg 6.
