British Prime Minister Tony Blair says his Labor Party must be even bolder in its reform program if it wants to win a fourth term in power.
Blair told party leaders at a conference in Brighton, England, that his conclusion from three election victories is that the party could win another if it adapted to the shifting aspirations of the people, the Times of London reported.
In a message seen as being directed at his likely successor Gordon Brown, Blair said every time he had introduced reforms he wished in retrospect that he had gone farther than he had. But Blair gave no sign of the timing of his own departure
Blair said Labor would win by helping Britain to respond to the urgent pace of globalization, tackling growing worries over social disorder and introducing private and other provisions into education and health services, the Times reported.
