Blairsville man faces drunken driving charges after hitting bus
A Blairsville man is accused of driving under the influence Tuesday when his vehicle collided with a school bus carrying more than 30 senior high and middle school students.
Gregory George Hancock, 19, of 91 Hebenthal Lane was charged with drunken driving and other traffic violations after the 7:15 a.m. crash on Campbell's Mill Road in Black Lick, according to state police at Indiana.
Police said Hancock's 1996 Ford Taurus crossed the double yellow line and struck the Blairsville school bus, which was driven by Samantha Anne McCleary of 1667 Yankee Hill Road, Blairsville.
After the collision, Hancock's vehicle traveled along the south berm for about 85 feet before stopping, according to police.
