COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets signed left wing Kirill Starkov to a three-year entry-level contract, the club announced Friday.

Terms were not disclosed per club policy.

Starkov, 20, collected 34 goals and 37 assists for 71 points with 41 penalty minutes in 72 games in his rookie season with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League.

He led the team in goals and power play goals (19), while ranking second in points and assists.

Starkov was Columbus' seventh pick — 189th overall — in the 2005 Entry Draft.
