Body found in home in McKees Rocks

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office is trying to identify the mummified remains of what is believed to be an elderly woman that were found today inside her home in McKees Rocks.

Police were called to Clay Alley in the Bottoms neighborhood about 3 p.m. by a relative who was concerned about being unable to reach the woman, investigators said.

Investigators said there was no immediate indication of forced entry or foul play. Two other people lived inside the house.

Allegheny County homicide detectives are assisting borough police in the investigation.
