The man whose body was found floating in the Monongahela River near the Birmingham Bridge has been identified as a missing man from Duquesne, a spokesman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said Wednesday. William Skates, 59, whose body was spotted by a kayaker Tuesday afternoon, drowned, the medical examiner said. City homicide detectives are trying to determine if Skates was the same man who reportedly jumped from the Homestead Grays Bridge last month.
