The access area on the Allegheny River at Brady's Bend was closed Tuesday, February, 4, 2014, because of unsafe conditions caused by ice jams. This photo of Brady's Bend was taken a week ago, before the ice started to thaw from the weekend's mild temperatures.

The Brady's Bend Access Area on the Allegheny River in Armstrong County has been closed because of unsafe conditions caused by ice jams. The area will remain closed until the ice clears, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission said in a release issued Tuesday.
