Brentwood officials plan for summer activities
Brentwood officials have directed building inspector Ralph Costa to audit the Brentwood Pool and its facilities to determine what is needed to make the pool compliant with the 2010 American Disabilities Act.
Once the audit is complete, Gateway Engineers, which represents the borough, will prepare construction cost estimates. The borough will pay Gateway approximately $5,000.
“We can use this information to apply for a (South Hills Area Council of Governments) Community Development Block Grant for next year to help fund these improvements,” said borough manager George Zboyovsky.
“If anything, we will have construction estimates we can use when budgeting next year’s or future years’ capital improvements funds.”
Brentwood must complete the improvements by March, 15, 2012, under the law.
The pool is scheduled to open for the season in May.
