Brownsville man shot to death

DUNBAR - A Brownsville man is dead after allegedly being shot by his brother during an argument.

Wednesday According to state police in Uniontown, Charles Brothers, 44, of 523 Laurel Lane, Dunbar, was having an argument with his brother, Brian Brothers, 40, of 363 High St., Brownsville, around noon at Charles Brothers' home when Brian Brothers was shot once in the chest.

Charles Brothers immediately called 911 for assistance.

When state police arrived at the scene, he was taken into custody without incident.

Brian Brothers was pronounced dead at the scene by Fayette County Deputy Coroner Jessie Langer.

Charles Brothers was charged with one count of criminal homicide and was taken to the Fayette County Jail.
