You're driving along Route 119 in Connellsville and suddenly a famous blinking light reminds you that you're ravenous.
In this hometown, hunger has a name: Bud Murphy's Sports Bar and Restaurant, one of Connellsville's most famous establishments where friends have gathered together through several generations.
Bud Murphy's tradition of athletic sponsorship has led the bar and restaurant to be "the" place to mingle before, during or after the game ^ be it football, basketball, softball, bowling or golf.
Recent renovations have given a "new look" to the inside of our restaurant The bar was remodeled in 2002 and the kitchen followed in 2003. Early 2004 saw the addition of bright, new bathrooms and a new, larger banquet room has been remodeled and is now available. The banquet room is available at no charge for small intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, bowling banquets, sports banquets, birthday parties, reunions, family get-togethers, Christmas parties or just for fun! A special banquet menu is available.
Bud Murphy's famous menu has been updated with the addition of Tender Baby Back Ribs, Calzones, Philly Cheese Steak Pizza, Cheeseburger Pizza and an enlarged Children's Menu. Our menu may have increased in size, but the price of our pizza has not!
Although there have been many changes to our physical appearance, our goals remain constant. We are dedicated to providing our guests with the finest quality food, beverages and service at an affordable price. We continue to be committed to our employees and our partnership with the community. Bud's is proud to host the Fay-West area's largest St. Patrick's Day party held every year on March 17. It is also our pleasure to sponsor and host the after-race parties for the Highlands Hospital Run and the John Woodruff Run. The Bud Murphy Memorial Golf Outing has become an annual event that provides scholarship a for an outstanding culinary arts student attending Connellsville Vo-Tech.
Our success has been the result of the contributions of all our co-workers. Peggy Burkholder, Lou Ann Wisilosky, Nancy Smith, Brenda McInerney and Kay Smith have been members of our team for more than 16 years and deserve the lion's share of the recognition for our continued success. Bartender Jeff Lytle has been promoted and is doing an excellent job as part of our management team.
Drop by to pit your skills against other players in-house and nationally on our NTN trivia game. Or show off your singing talent on Wednesday and Sunday karaoke nights.
