Attendant robbed at knifepoint

A person brandishing a kitchen-style chef's knife held up an attendant at the Honey Bear Service Sunoco station along Memorial Boulevard early Sunday morning, police said.

A male passenger in a silver Chrysler Pacifica exited the vehicle at the full service pump station at 1:50 a.m. and approached the fuel attendant, police said.

The man demanded money and, after the attendant gave it to him, the man returned to the vehicle and the driver fled north on Route 982.

Police said the knife had an orange/brown handle. No description of the robber was available.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Uniontown at 724-439-7111 or Fayette County Crimestoppers at 724-437-8477.
