Citizens Bank named June B. Barry senior vice president of human resources for the bank's Pennsylvania region. She most recently worked seven years at Betz Dearborn Laboratories Inc. as senior vice president of human resources and administration. Before that, she was executive vice president for the corporate resources group at Hercules Inc.

CardiacAssist Inc. of Pittsburgh appointed Betty Russell as the company's executive vice president of sales and marketing. She has 20 years of experience in development of domestic and international markets. She most recently worked as senior vice president, marketing and sales at Biosense Webster Inc., which she joined after working as executive vice president at Thermo Cardiosystems Inc. J. Robert Chenet was named to the optometry staff at Vincett Eye Care Associates in Penn Hills and Monroeville. He received his doctor of optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He fulfilled externships at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. He holds an undergraduate degree from Geneva College. TECHNOLOGY
Ripple Effects Interactive of Pittsburgh hired Diane Walter as production manager, Geoffrey Frankel as creative director and Shawn Fleegle as director of new business. Walter was e-marketing manager for Blattner Brunner Advertising and was client services manager for Wexford-based Futuristics. Before that, she was advertising project manager for Lycos Inc. Frankel joins REI from L2 Communications in Los Angeles, where he was a consultant. He also worked in Los Angeles as creative director for Context Integration. He was a photo journalist and medic for the U.S. Army from 1989-92 and is the author of Desert Storm Diaries. Fleegle was a senior consultant for Grok Technology Inc. and an account executive for ExecuTrain of Pittsburgh. OTHER
Pittsburgh-based consulting firm CLG hired Ed Musselwhite as senior principal. He most recently was president and chief operating officer of the Frontline Group. Before that he was president and chief executive officer of Zenger Miller, a global consulting and training company. Elected to two-year terms on the technical symbology committee at AIM Inc. were: Andy Longacre of Handheld Products; Frank Sharkey of UCC; John Kessler of Paxar Corp.; and Yuji Tsujimoto of Denso Wave Inc. Joan Craig was named vice president and director, professional services for the Pittsburgh office of Lee Hecht Harrison. Craig has more than 20 years' business and consulting experience and most recently worked as assistant dean, career services and corporate relations, at the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. She held senior human resources posts at Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania and Mellon Bank. Pittsburgh-based Firewater Restoration Inc. hired Audley Denman, Kevin D. Young and Kevin J. Lynch . Denman, who will work as a project manager, has extensive background in the restoration industry, project management and job estimating and sales. Young began his career at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. before working in the restoration field. Lynch, who will focus on marketing and customer service, also has a background in insurance and restoration. He and Young are both Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduates.
