Connellsville Area High School will crown the 2006 Homecoming queen during Friday's football game at Falcon Stadium. Seven seniors have been named to the court.
= Kylie Alberts, daughter of Dan and Karen Alberts, of Connellsville, is a two-year varsity cheerleader, member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, prom committee, cheerleading club and homeroom secretary. She is employed at Lynn's Dairy Queen in Connellsville and Hollister in Greensburg. Alberts plans to attend IUP to pursue a career as a physician's assistant.
Joe Leonard, son of John and Becky Leonard, will be representing the basketball team as Kylie's escort.
= Mary Beth Giles, daughter of Corey and Elizabeth Giles, of Bullskin Township, is a member of the basketball, track and cross country teams, Venture Club, NHS, the pit orchestra and the Mighty Falcon Marching Band. She plans to attend Penn State University and major in nursing.
Jonathan Eutsey, son of Harold and Kim Eutsey, will be representing the Mighty Falcon Marching Band as her escort.
= Amber Hyatt, daughter of Donald and Sandy Hyatt, of Connellsville, is a two-year varsity cheerleader and runs cross country and track. She has lettered in cheerleading and cross country, received a Triathlete Award, is an elite All-American Cheerleader and received the U.S. National Cheerleader Achievement Award. She is a member of NHS, Thespian Honor Society, student council, prom committee and cheerleading club. She participates in the annual musical and was a representative for the Snow Princess Court her sophomore and junior year.
Outside of school, Amber studies dance at Dance Works by Melanie and plans to attend college and study bio-behavioral health science.
Joe Villaneuva, son of Joe and Donna Villaneuva, will be representing the track and cross country teams as her escort.
= Justine Matthews, daughter of Larry and Jennifer Morris, of Connellsville, is a member of the volleyball team, NHS, Spanish Honor Society, football club and Who's Who Among America's High School Students.
She is an all-section and all-county volleyball player as well as a three-year varsity letterman. She plans to attend college and major in fashion design and merchandising.
Devin Keno, son of Steve and Kelly Keno, will be representing the golf team as her escort.
= Farren Rice, daughter of Terry and Peggy Rice, of Connellsville, is a member of NHS, two-year member of the National Honor Roll, Thespian Society, prom committee and concert choir, a varsity cheerleader and an All-American Cheerleader who has been invited to be an instructor for the Elite Cheer Association. She has held lead dance roles in past CAHS musicals. Outside of school, Farren has been dancing for 13 years at Dance Works by Melanie where she is a hip-hop instructor. She plans to attend WVU and hopes to join its cheerleading squad. In college, she will major in physical education with a minor in dance.
Kaitan Smiley, son of Robert and Sandy Smiley, will be representing the baseball team as her escort.
= Kaitlen Sines, daughter of Delbert and Kathi Jo Sines, of Dunbar, is a varsity cheerleader, homeroom president, treasurer of the prom committee, member of cheerleading club and participated in last year's musical. She is a 2005-06 Snow Princess Court representative and has been a dancer at Kid's and Company for four year. She also has played clarinet in the band for nine years. She plans to move to Georgia with her brother and pursue a career in health care.
Dan Herman, son of Larry and Martina Herman, will be representing the soccer team as her escort.
= Emily Ward, daughter of Jeff and Ann Ward, of Connellsville, is a varsity cheerleader, vice president of prom committee, two-year member of student council, a member of NHS, Spanish Honor Society, cheerleading club and a 2005-06 Snow Princess Court representative. She also was a participant in last year's musical. She is employed at Lynn's Dairy Queen and plans to attend IUP.
Andrew Snyder, son of Marvin and Stacey Snyder, will be representing the wrestling team as her escort.
The 2005 Homecoming queen, Rachel Addis, will be escorted by Jonathan Luczka, son of Philip and Deborah Luczka, as a National Honor Society representative.
