CAHS tickets
Tickets for Connellsville's home football game with Hempfield on Friday will be sold in the athletic office on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reserve tickets cost $4 and student tickets cost $2. Tickets for students are sold in all the district schools. No student tickets will be sold at the gate. General admission tickets are $3 and are sold only at the gate. Gates open at 6 p.m.
CAHS hockey
The Connellsville High School hockey parents will meet at Divito Park at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
SC Rod and Gun
The South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club will hold a running deer shoot at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Softball league
Tryouts for a new traveling girls softball league will be held at 9 a.m. on Nov. 13, at Woodruff Park. Sixty spots are available in the 10 and Under, 12 and Under, 14 and Under, 16 and Under, and 18 and Under age groups. Registrants should bring a glove, bat and spikes and should wear long pants. Wrestling sign-ups
Connellsville Elementary wrestling will hold its final sign-ups from 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 4 at Junior High East. The first practice for all wrestlers will be held at 6 p.m. on Nov. 16. There will also be a mandatory meeting for parents at that time.
Elementary hoops
The Connellsville Elementary Basketball League (formerly CYBL) will hold sign-ups at Junior High East on Oct. 19, 21, 26 and 28 from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. EH Sportsmen
The East Huntingdon Township Sportsmen's Club will hold a Southern Clang & Bang on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The divisions are: Open, limited 10, production, carbine 9 mm, 40 caliber and 45 acp. The Connellsville Little League will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the major field.
St. Rita's hoops
St. Rita's Youth Basketball League will hold sign-ups on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Junior High East. The league is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through seventh grade. Registration fee is $10. For more information, call Gary Pennington at 724-628-5742.
