WEST CHESTER -- For the third straight year, the California and Indiana women's basketball teams will be meeting for the PSAC championship.
The two West teams picked up their title tickets with victories Friday.
No.3 Cal U advanced to today's 7 p.m. final for a league record ninth straight season with a 67-57 victory over Millersville before IUP downed host West Chester, 79-65.
California swept IUP, 66-43 and 45-44, during the season, but has lost the last two title games to the Crimson Hawks, who've won eight straight PSAC tournament games.
Junior guard Brooque Williams came up big for Cal (26-3) with 21 points and 11 rebounds for her 21st double-double.
The Vulcans trailed 32-30 at halftime before going on an 8-0 run to stretch a 43-41 lead to 51-41.
The closest Millersville (23-6) came in the second half was six (63-57) with 55 seconds remaining before Crystal Andrews and Shaquetta Mance both sank a pair of free throws to seal the Vulcans' eight straight win.
Kayla Smith also had a double-double for Cal with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Amber Dubyak added 13 points for the Vulcans.
Millersville's high-scoring Gladine St. Julien was limited to 11 points,
Jahzinga Tracey and Eryn Withers both had 17 points to lead IUP (24-5) over West Chester.
