California University to host annual seminar on security
California University of Pennsylvania’s second annual Conference on Corporate and Homeland Security will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in the university’s Performance Center in the Natali Student Center.
Conference theme is executive and personal protection.
Sponsoring the event are the conference committee and Cal U’s Department of Justice, Law and Society.
Luncheon speaker at 12:30 p.m. will be Lt. Col. John R. Brown of the Pennsylvania State Police. Dinner speaker James F. Powers, director of the Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security, will address the conference at 4:30 p.m.
Presentations will address such issues as risk assessment/counter survival, defensive driving, advance work and global challenges in executive protection.
