‘Capote’ is 2006 Best Movie for Grownups

"Capote" was named Wednesday as AARP The Magazine's 2006 Best Movie For Grownups.

The magazine's editorial staff named Jeff Daniels the best actor 50 and over for "The Squid and the Whale" and Joan Plowright won best actress her role in "Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont."

Steven Spielberg is the magazine's best director for "Munich," the AARP said in a news release.

The winners will receive trophies in the shape of a lounge chair at the Movies for Grownups gala awards dinner Feb. 7 at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
