A truck carrying several cars caught fire Monday morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, causing major traffic delays.

Police and Beaver County dispatchers said the fire started after 6 a.m. in the truck's brakes and spread to the rest of the load. The truck stopped around mile marker 17.5, between Beaver Valley and Cranberry exits.

Both lanes of the turnpike reopened about 8:45 a.m. No one was injured, dispatchers said.
