Cash 5 jackpot winner sold in Springdale
A jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket worth $600,000 was sold at Choice Cigarette Discount Outlet on Pittsburgh Street in Springdale, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Thursday.
The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 9-12-19-21-37, in the Wednesday drawing to win the prize, minus 25 percent federal withholding. The retailer gets a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The prize must be claimed and the ticket validated before the winner can be identified, the lottery said. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
More than 60,000 Cash 5 tickets sold across the state won prizes in Wednesday's drawing.
The Pennsylvania Lottery says the holder of a jackpot-winning tickets should sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at any of the Lottery's seven area offices or at its headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.
Claims can be filed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at area offices, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at headquarters. Lottery offices will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day.
