The Trib's March 25 news story on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's expenses got it wrong ( "Taxes foot bill for board members' cars" ).

Under Act 71, the cost of operating the Gaming Control Board will be paid entirely by casino operators, not Pennsylvania taxpayers.

For now, the board is using funds lent to it by the General Assembly that will also be paid back in their entirety by gaming licensees once they begin operations. Those are the facts.
