A stretch of Castle Shannon Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon will be closed starting 7 a.m. Monday for the next two weeks.
PennDOT said the road will close between Washington Road (Route 2069/Route 19) and Mt. Lebanon Boulevard (Route 3042) through Aug. 29 as part of a $2.2 million reconstruction project.
Local traffic will be given access.
A detour will be posted for all other traffic. Drivers traveling from the west can take Washington Road south, turn left onto Mt. Lebanon Boulevard and follow that to Castle Shannon Boulevard. Drivers traveling from the east can take the same route in reverse.
The full reconstruction project extends to Scott Road and will conclude in November.
