The Allegheny County Fire Marshal was unable to determine the cause of a July 30 fire that destroyed a mobile home on Pleasant Avenue in Harrison due to the extensive damage, said Alvin Henderson Jr., chief of the county's Department of Emergency Services.

Resident Tina Slomkoski had to crawl through a window to escape. She suffered second- and third-degree burns on 25 percent of her body.

Police were expecting to interview Slomkoski's former boyfriend, Michael Swiklinski, 43, of Freeport about the fire when he apparently committed suicide by jumping from the Tarentum Bridge on July 31.
