Several personnel moves were approved by the Charleroi Area School Board on Tuesday.
Meeting in regular session, the board:
- Accepted the resignations of Claire Prati and Elvera Barcelona for the purpose of retirement at the end of the current school year and the resignation of Melinda Householder as lunchroom monitor, effective March 25.
- Named Bernie Medved assistant middle school teacher for the 2007-08 school year at a salary of $1,140.
- Appointed Stanley Milchovich the driver education theory instructor...and as the driver's education behind-the-wheel instructor, both at a rate of $15 per hour.
- Added to the district's substitute list teacher Bridget C. Walsh, French, and Barabara Savareno, clerical.
In other business, the board approved the 2008-09 school year calendar.
The first day for students will be Aug. 25 and the last day of classes will be June 1.
