Tom Clark Sr., who operates a Chevrolet dealership along Route 48 in McKeesport, has expanded his business in Westmoreland County with the acquisition of Ford of Greensburg, which is on Route 30 east of Greensburg. Clark acquired the Ford operation from Bill Owens, who has separate Hyundai and Toyota dealerships along Route 30 east of Greensburg. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Clark said he acquired Ford of Greensburg on Jan. 8 and said signage reflecting the change should be in place within the next two weeks. Ford products will continue to be sold at the location, which employs about 70 people. Clark said those employees would be retained and expects to add 10 to 15 workers as the business grows. Clark also operates Cavalier Coach along Route 30 in Irwin, where he has sold motor homes and travel trailers for 20 years. He said he will keep his Chevrolet dealership in McKeesport, Allegheny County, which employs about 95 people. Owens had operated a Hyundai dealership that was adjacent to, but not affiliated with, Ford of Greensburg. In June 2001, Owens' Toyota dealership, which was adjacent to Douds of Greensburg along Route 30 about one mile from Westmoreland Mall, relocated to its current spot on Route 30 across from Oakley Park. The relocation allowed Owens' Hyundai dealership, which was adjacent to Ford of Greensburg, to occupy the space on Route 30, next to Douds, a furniture and carpet store. Clark said he is in discussions to open another dealership in the region within six months, but he declined to give the specific location.
