I have three children in elementary school in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.
It is sad the Pittsburgh Foundation, Heinz Endowments and Grable Foundation have made the difficult decision to cut funding. School board President Jean Fink finds the foundations actions "childish." The bickering between the school board and superintendent is childish as well.
Perhaps if the people who govern our school district would put aside their differences, our children will not pay for their childish actions.
