Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato leads a local delegation, literally, all the way to China to explore emerging market opportunities (“Group from Pittsburgh finds opportunities abound in China,” May 9 and PghTrib.com). The Trib’s article indicates business brokers and community leaders on the tour found “startling contrasts” in China. They wouldn’t have had to travel nearly so far to see the same startling contrasts here — a big city with no jobs. Jack GordonSewickley
